Sketch with Final Illustration

Here is a illustration that I recently completed for story with a children's ezine. The finish was done in watercolor and prismapencil on bristol. I am open to feedback on this item, as I was working hard at not only facial expressions but body posture. Thanks!

Hi Lisa,
Nice work! I like the color version best but that may just be personal preference. :O) Well done!

Hi Diana-
Thanks for the compliment.... and it is a story that I am sure you would LOVE as it centers around a boy who enjoys treats... in this story a hot fudge sundae with cherry on top. The cherry goes missing and he begins playing detective throughout his house to find out what happened to his missing garnish!
I chose to illustrate the moment he happens on his sister who was enjoying a tea party with her bear when he notices something suspicious on her plate, which ends up being strawberry jam.
Thanks again for the interest. =)

hi lisa!
i love your new illustration. it absolutely works. the bodies are weighted and postitioned perfectly. it really looks like you captrued them in a moment in time.

Thanks for your comment Melissa... I was concerned that they were looking a bit too rigid. =)

Neat story idea! I really like the black and white one a lot! Isn't that funny? But sometimes even with my own work, I tend to prefer the black and white versions better! Both are great, though!

Cute illustration, Lisa. Thanks for sharing the story line. Where's the missing cherry? ;-D Looks like someone may be in trouble.
