IF - Packed / Prisma Process

This image popped into my head almost as soon as I read the prompt at IF this week. The trials and tribulations of a little gal mouse trying to move some of her beloved possessions to a new abode and of course... over packing in the process. Hopefully, somebody will come along soon and help her out. =)
As promised, I wanted to share the process behind this prismacolor illustration. Starting with a graphite sketch of the composition and then moving onto the first layer of colored pencil and then the completed illustration several layers later. I used prismacolor pencils and bristol vellum for this piece and it measures about 3.5x7" in size.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today, check back in later this week for some more new sketches and (hopefully) a few completed journals.

What a sweet iluustration! Poor mouse......
But what I wondered is where do all the dark lines go once you start with the colors......?
They just fade with the colors, but the colors seems so bright.
Thanks for the proces, I always love to see how things are made and te result is great!
HAve a nice day Lisa!
